Schuyler CSB Quentel
Yes, this is the best Bible available today in the CSB translation.
Schuyler Bibles recently expanded their flagship Quentel series with a new edition in the CSB translation. The Quentel is now available in five translations (NASB, ESV, NKJV, NIV, CSB), but this new CSB edition is unique because of the fact that upon its release it immediately became the most premium CSB Bible available.
Yes, I know… calling something the “best” is subjective, but I think it’s hard to argue (at least for now) that the CSB Quentel is the top Christian Standard Bible on the market today.
After initially unveiling the CSB translation in 2017, Holman Bibles (a division of B&H Publishing Group / Lifeway) has recently started to up their game when it comes to premium editions (most notably the CSB Verse-by-Verse Bible), and their upcoming editions in the “Handcrafted Collection” have many fans of the translation excited. But the quality of Schuyler Bibles is hard to match these days, and I continue to find myself impressed every time I see one for the first time.

Schuyler CSB Quentel – Overview
The Quentel (named after William Tyndale’s first printer) is the flagship design from Schuyler Bibles. Designed with renowned typesetter 2K/Denmark, the Quentel features a robust, two-column design with an 11pt type size and cross-references that span the entire bottom of the page. Printed and bound by Royal Jongbloed in the Netherlands, the CSB Quentel is edge-lined and Smyth-sewn with a 6.125” x 9.125” trim size. Including the cover, it’s right at 1.5” thick. Inside you’ll find 28 GSM Indopaque Paper, which presents the line matched text with great clarity. A full concordance and a set of Schuyler’s beautiful Bible maps can be found at the back of the CSB Quentel.
All of the other translations of the Quentel have followed with a Personal Size Quentel (a smaller, more portable version), so depending on how well this initial run of the CSB Quentel does, it’s possible that Schuyler will offer a CSB PSQ in the future.

Consistent Quality
It’s hard to describe just how fantastic a Schuyler Bible feels when you it hold it in your hands. I’ve seen a bunch of these Bibles in person, so you’d think I would be used to it by now, but I still experience a little rush of excitement every time I get my hands on a new one. I think one of the main things that sets Schuyler apart is their consistency. No matter what edition it is, you can be confident that it is going to be beautifully and thoughtfully crafted with the highest quality materials.
Right For You?
Whether the CSB is your primary translation or you just like to have different ones around as you read and study, this new Quentel is a fantastic Bible that is unlikely to disappoint. And it would certainly make a fantastic gift for someone in your life (maybe your pastor… wink, wink) who uses the CSB regularly.
Bottom Line:
The CSB Quentel is currently the best CSB Bible available.
If you want a premium reference Bible that will last a lifetime, this is certainly one to consider.
