Premier Collection NASB Thinline
A new premium NASB 2020 Bible from Zondervan.
Slowly but surely, the latest update to the New American Standard Bible (commonly known as the “NASB 2020”) has started to receive the premium treatment from several Bibles publishers, and today we’re taking a closer look at a new Thinline option from Zondervan. As I’ve said before and will undoubtedly say again, I love thinline Bibles, and it’s always fun for me to review a new one.
Zondervan has been trying new things lately with their premium Bibles (a fact that I quite admire), most notably with a few bold color options with their goatskin covers. This NASB Thinline has something very different called gauffered page edges, which means that the traditional red-under-gold art gilding has been swapped out for a printed design (see photos below). Full disclosure: I wasn’t sure what to think about these gauffered page edges when I first saw photos online, but now that I’m able to see it in person, I think it looks lovely. It’s definitely noticeable, yet subtle enough that it’s not overly distracting or showy.
Be sure to check out my unboxing video with this Bible if you have not already, which will give you an honest look at my first impression. And keep scrolling after this full video review for detailed specs, photos, and purchase links.
