She Reads Truth Bible
My wife joins me to review one of the most popular CSB Bibles available today.
I spend way too much time scrolling through Craigslist, eBay, and Facebook Marketplace looking for good deals on Bibles… and guitars… and sneakers… and, well, you get the idea.
One day last summer I saw a listing for a She Reads Truth Bible. I feel like I see this Bible all over the place these days, and it was priced well, so I decided to buy it as a gift for my wife, Becca. When she started a new Bible reading plan at the beginning of this year, Becca decided to use the She Reads Truth Bible as her guide, and she really loves it so far.
We filmed the video review of this Bible together so you can hear her insights, and if you keep scrolling, you can read more about the features that make the She Reads Truth Bible so unique.
She Reads Truth Bible – Overview
She Reads Truth is a company that was founded in 2012 with the vision of creating a community of “women in the Word of God every day. In additions to their app, online readings plans, podcast, and free daily devotions, She Reads Truth also creates physical products to help women deepen their engagement with the Bible. In 2017, the launch of the She Reads Truth Bible was a huge success, setting the record for most pre-orders ever for a new Bible from Lifeway (the CSB She Reads Truth Bible is published by Holman, the Bible division of Lifeway).
Everything produced by She Reads Truth is beautifully and thoughtfully designed, and the She Reads Truth Bible is no exception. It has a lovely single-column layout for the scriptural text with a fantastic font called Bible Serif (designed by 2K/Denmark). But this is more than just a pretty Bible; it’s a study and devotional Bible full of additional features that are designed to help women immerse themselves in their study of the Word. From reading plans and book introduction to devotionals and an array of timelines, maps, and charts, the She Reads Truth Bible beautiful pieces together an impressive set of study tools.

Dive In
Becca started using the She Reads Truth Bible at the beginning of the year, and I’ve already lost count of how many times that she has said something about how much she enjoys studying with it. She says that she learns something new whenever she reads one of the devotionals or book introductions, and the full-color maps and charts have helped her engage more meaningfully with the text.
It’s also worth noting that this is the first time Becca has used the CSB translation (after many years primarily using the ESV), and she’s really enjoying it. For her, a more “dynamic” translation that is less word-for-word in its translation philosophy has helped her feel like she understands the text more clearly.
Bottom Line:
If you’re a woman who’s looking for a Bible that will help you dive into the Word of God in a fresh way (or you know one that is), then you should definitely check out the She Reads Truth Bible.
SPECIAL THANKS to Becca for doing this review me. Visit her website to learn more about her work and see her INCREDIBLE abstract paintings inspired with scripture and worship music.
